Because yes, food can take us on trips to other countries without leaving home, and that's why <strong>Today we're presenting 2 gluten-free international recipes for you to try at home. <\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong><u>Gluten-free Mexican tacos<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In a bowl, place 1\u00be cups of water and a pinch of salt. Gradually incorporate 2 cups of pre-cooked white corn flour, kneading until you achieve a homogeneous consistency. Once you have this, cover the dough for approximately 5-10 minutes (if it becomes too stiff, you can add another tablespoon of water).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Divide the dough into equal portions and form small balls. Place two sheets of plastic in a tortilla press and place a portion of dough in the centre. Press down to obtain a very thin disc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grease a frying pan with a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil and, when it is very hot, pour in the mixture and brown it on both sides.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For the filling, prepare the pico de gallo by mixing diced tomato and red onion, finely chopped coriander, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fill the taco by placing a base of refried beans, avocado, pico de gallo, lettuce, jalape\u00f1os, and top with pickled onion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><u>Gluten-free Italian pizza<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Begin by preparing a blend of flours. To do this, start with 100g of rice flour, which will be the base of our pizza. Add 65g of corn starch (maizena) or another type of starch such as potato starch to this. Then, add another 35g of your preferred gluten-free flour (it could be corn, buckwheat, chickpea, oat, or quinoa flour). Finally, add 2g of dried baker's yeast (or 6g of fresh yeast), 6g of xanthan gum, and finally, 5g of sugar, which will help the yeast to do its job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With the help of a wooden spoon or whisk, mix all the ingredients well until you obtain a homogeneous batter. Once it is well mixed, gradually add 200 ml of water very slowly. If you see that the batter is dry, add more water. Then, start kneading for about 5 minutes so that everything is fully incorporated and the texture is uniform and lump-free.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carefully stretch the dough with lightly oiled hands, giving it whatever shape and thickness you prefer. And add your <em>Toppings<\/em> favourites! We've opted for a vegetable pizza with tomato, peppers, olives, mushrooms, onion, and cheese. But add whatever you like most!
