Next 18 May<\/strong>, we celebrated a very special meeting at Miracle within the Coeliac Awareness Month<\/strong>, designed to bring together patients and nutrition professionals in the same space.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

A meeting between patients and professionals
\n<\/b><\/h2>\n

Coeliac disease is a part of many people's daily lives, but it is not always experienced or understood from the same points of view.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are those who live with it every day \u2013 at home, at work, travelling or going out to eat \u2013 and those who accompany them from the consultation room: nutrition professionals, who advise and help to understand how to manage it from a dietary point of view.<\/span><\/p>\n

The idea of this table is to bring those two realities closer together, create conversation and generate a synergy that improves both assistance and everyday life without gluten.<\/span><\/p>\n

The activity is open to both individuals diagnosed with coeliac disease and dietitian-nutritionists and dietetic technicians, creating a space where everyone can contribute and, above all, leave with something useful.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two key moments: chat and shared dinner
\n<\/b><\/h2>\n

The meeting is structured in two parts, designed to complement each other and create a complete experience.<\/p>\n

On the one hand, we will start with a talk focused on the role of specialist dietary advice in coeliac disease<\/strong>. We will discuss why it is important to have trained professionals, what they can contribute to disease management, and how this support influences patients' quality of life. We will also look at what a coeliac person can expect from this type of consultation in their day-to-day life.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, we moved to the table. During dinner<\/strong>, the conversation changes in form, but not in substance: it is time to share experiences, raise concerns, and listen to the doubts and difficulties faced by attendees, generating a much closer exchange between patients and professionals.<\/p>\n

  • People with coeliac disease looking to better understand their condition<\/li>\n
  • And anyone interested in learning from a practical perspective<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The people who guide the conversation<\/h2>\n

    The meeting will be led and facilitated by two individuals who are familiar with coeliac disease from both a professional and personal perspective:<\/p>\n

    M\u00aa \u00c1ngeles S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, a coeliac, dietitian and gluten-free catering technician at ACECOVA, with over 25 years of experience in the gluten-free field.<\/p>\n

    Dany Faccio<\/strong>, coeliac and a dietitian specialising in gluten-related and digestive conditions, creator of the Singlutenismo project and a collaborator at the Advanced Diagnostic Unit for Coeliac Disease.<\/p>\n

    At Miracle, we've been working for a while to make sitting at the table easy, but we also believe that understanding what's behind it is just as important.<\/p>\n
