- Around 45 young people enjoyed a gluten-free 100% dinner and had a lovely evening with presents and surprises
- The dinner, organised by FACE Joven, was an occasion to share experiences among young coeliacs and give a voice to the collective.
The Miracle, the first 100% gluten-free restaurant in the Valencian Community to be certified by the Valencian Community Coeliac Association (Acecova), hosted an event on Tuesday evening A dinner attended by nearly 45 young coeliacs from all over Spain and some countries in Europe. This event was part of the Summer Meeting 2023 organised by the Spanish Coeliac Youth Association (Young Faceis being celebrated in the capital of Turia during these days.

During the dinner, which began at 9.00 pm at El Miracle, the young people sampled various gluten-free 100% dishes and enjoyed an evening filled with gifts and surprises. As well as being an opportunity to savour gluten-free cuisine, this gathering was a chance for the young people to share and exchange experiences about coeliac disease.
Some of those present told us that it is still difficult to find 100% gluten-free restaurants. “There are more and more places offering gluten-free options, but there are few with as much variety as El Miracle,” explained David, who has been living with coeliac disease for over 20 years.
For her part, Andrea, who came from Almería, pointed out that “In our day-to-day lives, when we go out, we have to be very careful, and sometimes we eat worse than other people. But tonight is different because you share food with everyone present without any fear. It makes us feel integrated.”.
For El Miracle, the first 100% gluten-free restaurant in the Valencian Community, it is a source of pride to be part of this 2023 Summer Gathering, as it is an opportunity to give a voice to the coeliac community and highlight the importance of having gluten-free venues.
In this regard, from El Miracle we will continue to favour and promote these types of events and spaces where coeliacs can enjoy food without worries and coeliac disease is not an inconvenience.
FACE Joven's Summer Meet-up 2023, which is being held in València these days, has the collaboration of the Institute of Youth (Injuve), the Federation of Spanish Celiac Associations (FACE) and Acecova.
