Yesterday, we held the first gluten-free fresh pasta workshop at El Miracle, and it was a resounding success! This event has marked the start of our calendar of activities, which we will be running throughout May to commemorate International Coeliac Day.
Under the expert guidance of professional chef Marianna Mastropasqua, we learned to make different types of gluten-free fresh filled pasta such as garganelli, tagliolini, tagliatelle and ravioli. The texture of the gluten-free dough, made with tiger nut flour-based water, egg yolks, potato starch and cassava, surprised everyone with its softness and flavour.
After a while of kneading, filling, and cooking, the workshop attendees had the opportunity to taste their own culinary creations. Our restaurant was filled with satisfaction, demonstrating once again that gluten-free food can be just as delicious and that we all deserve to eat without fear. Furthermore, all participants received a special gift from the establishment in appreciation of their attendance.
